[ESCL] When should I auction my fire lifer?

[:1]I have had a 42 fire lifer sitting on one of my mules for a while now. I know earlier in ladder the advice going around was to wait until later to sell such an item to get the true value for it. When would that be? I know it can't be necessarily based on how many hr's it'd get, as every day those go down in value.

P.P.S. Anyone happen to know what a 3/3/3 6 ll demonhorn is worth?|||The longer you wait, sure, the more hrs you'll get - but it'll also longer you'll have to wait to get other good items.

For example - I found tyrael's might within the first few weeks of ladder. I could have held onto it for a few months and traded it for a ton of hrs, but I decided that I'd rather trade it immediately and get something useful. So I traded it for a mere two hrs and made engima.|||Ya but the thing is I don't plan on using the hr's for runewords. I'm needing them to trade for gear. I'm speaking more about item to item values. Example: Unid griffs is 3 hr, and pcombat 20 lifer is 6 hrs. So currently I could get 2 griffs for the lifer. I hold out on selling for a month, and either a) unid griffs is now 4 hr, so now the lifer can only get one, or b) those griffs are 2 hr, and now the lifer gets six of them. Basically I'm just negating the prices in hr's and trying to see how the item to item values correlate.

Btw those prices in the example aren't meant to be accurate. Just needed them to get my point across.|||Trade it now. The reason you'll get more HRs is because they become more and more devalued as the ladder goes on. You will get more HRs, but they're worth less. Also, the longer you hold it, the more fire lifers there will be, devaluing your GC.

There's no reason at all to hold onto it unless you suspect a sudden shortage of high fire lifers in the near future.|||There's going to be a fire lifer shortage?! :P
